Lamprey River Science Symposium - January 16, 2020

Monday, January 6, 2020 - 10:00am
Summary:

The Twelfth Annual Lamprey River Science Symposium will be held Thursday JANUARY 16, 2020 at the University of New Hampshire in James Hall room G46.

Click here for the draft agenda and visit https://forms.gle/7Bhf3wK9cdGWYFqbA to register.

The Symposium is a vehicle for researchers to share data and insights on various watershed science topics with other researchers and develop new research initiatives in the Lamprey watershed and beyond.  We are currently soliciting talks and posters for the event.  We encourage anyone (including students) who would like to share their current or planned research in the Lamprey/Oyster watershed, or research that relates to these coastal watersheds, to submit a presentation title and brief abstract (a few sentences is fine) by Thursday December 19, 2019. Please submit titles and abstracts using this google sheet or email michelle.shattuck@unh.edu.

We particularly encourage presentations on research topics that will be important in the coming decade and will organize the meeting to maximize the discussion of new research opportunities.   Depending on presentation submissions, we may organize presentations around the following preliminary themes: stressors, response and management approaches.

A day-long program is planned and more details on the agenda and registration will be forthcoming.  Registration is free, but there is a $1.50/hour parking fee for folks who do not have a UNH parking permit. Visit https://wrrc.unh.edu/lamprey-river-symposium for previous agendas.
