1) Understanding the long-term controls on biogeochemical cycles in the Luquillo Experimental Forest in Puerto Rico and the impact of people on water quality in urban areas of Puerto Rico (NSF LTER).
2) Understanding the role of dissolved organic nitrogen in stream nutrient cycling (NSF Biology).
3) Understanding how the rates and patterns of stream metabolism vary within and across streams (NSF Macrosystems).
